If I point out to red rose and asks you “what color is that red rose?” and you respond “red”, its not because you are pro-red, or you hate other color so you are not saying red rose is of other colors. You are saying red rose is red because red rose is indeed red.
How about clean air? Would you agree that we need clean air, so our goal should always be a future where the air is clean — and the cleaner the air, the better it is! Sure, we probably won’t be around to enjoy the cleaner air a hundred years from now, but that’s not the point. The point is: clean air is cool.
Now that we settle the argument that we stan clean air. Lets talk about what argument we are entertaining or taking it on its face value against the fact that we all think having air clean is great, and we all should inspire for that future where air is clean.
Say, If I get the money (or, I am funded) by the side that benefits financially from air not being clean (because they want to deregulate the regulations that were placed there in the first place because they were doing the activities that direct violate our settled argument that we all want the air that is clean.
and I say “Its beneficial to deregulate so the side that pays me to say this can save some money from not having enough regulation to safeguard our air, water, etc. (you know, our very environment that we can’t survive without), but think about the monies companies can save who pays me to argue against “our air being clean””.
Sure I ((assumption being) someone who is paid or funded or benefits from what I say or argue) am not straight up gonna say “clean air is bad” because it won’t be less persuasive, so I will say shit like “if we deregulate this rule that is placed for safeguard of our environment (that our survival depends on), we can save some money by bypassing legislation (that is placed towards our common goal of clean air).
You should straight up laugh and mock me for saying shit like that. and worse, if I am not even paid for saying shit like that, you should think “my god, not even being paid to say that, what an fucking idiot!” and if I am paid to say that, you could think “maybe he doesn’t believe it but say or think so because he is paid for saying or thinking that. grifter bitch!” and you would be totally normal to think that. but regardless, you should understand that I am against the settled realities that we all want our air being clean. So you should not take my argument(s)/opinion(s) on this matter in the good faith because I am an idiot to even contemplate and talking favorably against clean air or being paid to say that, so why would you take my opinion on this matter al all!?
You would never. You never should.
And if there are ever anywhere saying or thinking of giving me benefits of doubt, they are only doing that because of bad faith, and are in the same side as I am.
The point is: Its not about me saying stupid shits (whether about being paid for it, or just being dumbass af), the point is about our north star : the realities of clean air.
My disappointment is not on people (in this hypothetical: me) who are just dumbass or paid to say stupid shit, or people who would want to give me benefits of doubt out of bad-faith because they are embarrassed to be on my side openly but are in the same side as me (either they are paid or funded by, or just idiots (like me)).
but again, I cannot afford the disappointment with the people who believe in the essence of our settled argument that we all want the air that is clean and is good for the humanities, so instead, lets focus on all of our north stars and stop being distracted by just idiots, paid for, or bad-faith actors.
